*Kuvaqite*
Kuvaqite is home to the water elementals. The land there is typically swampy and watery in nature (for obvious reasons). Typically water elementals resemble humans in appearance, so there are no real distinguishing features (no, they do not resemble mermaids here). They do have the ability to breathe under water for extended periods of time, but that is due to magical abilities and is not at all related to the possession of gills, flippers, etc. So, basically, the water elementals are human-like beings that have the ability to swim under water for long lengths of time, and that possess magical abilities relating to water in general. The degree of their magical talent is mostly a result of parentage or magical education. It's either an ingrained or born talent, or it's developed. Again, water elementals are usually born only in Kuvaqite, playable characters will be posted later...yatta yatta. The joining application itself explains elemental aging. Water elementals do not have the same two name structure as most in the realm. They possess hyphenated names- to what purpose, no one knows.
The nation of Kuvaqite tends to interact only with those belonging to Comeltum, No Man's Land or Nivern. Silkamolus is avoided at all costs, as is Caracalon.
Magical abilities are taught at the Karna Isles by scholars (again, these scholars are akin to Comeltum scholars in the fact that they are respected, but hold very little political power).
Currently, the King of Kuvaqite is Nea-Naiad, his wife and Queen is Tiaen-Ves and his only child and heir of Kuvaqite is his daughter, Erua-Nixie. Inheritance in Kuvaqite is not gender specific- it can pass from father to daughter, or father to son, but it usually passes to the eldest child.
