Kelvan

The capital of Comeltum, Kelvan, is situated in the heart of the nation. The city itself is built into the natural landscape, not in the same fashion as your typical wood-dwelling elves, but in the respect that houses are formed into cliff sides or hilltops, or trees if necessary. This does not mean that the dwellings of Kelvan are any less ornate- great pains have been taken to display the obvious artistry of its inhabitants. The one piece of architecture that stands separate from the other dwellings is the Palace, a towering colossus of a structure, castle-like in appearance, but differing in the fact that the entire structure is built entirely from twisted spiraling wood, intertwined with rock and other earth-like substances. It is a unique building-utterly beautiful, yet formidable. Despite the fact that the Palace itself appears to be fragile, the raw magical powers of the elven earth mages are fused into the building itself, making it virtually impregnable.
