The Trough

The trough, as it's been coined, is a large gorge separating the grasslands from the deserts. The canyon itself spreads for miles, from shore to shore. At the floor of the gorge lies a small lake inhabited by the odd fish. Very few inhabitants live near or in the gorge, as the rocky terrain tends to be rather treacherous. The Trough, however, must be traversed in order to reach Shyasia and only the most skilled guides can take people across.
