Situated in the middle of the mainland (the largest island within Silkamolus territory) is the capital city of Vorbanu. Built on volcanic residue, Vorbanu is a city of fire and ash. The architecture of Vorbanu mostly consists of dwellings and structures made from polished obsidian, or darker, brighter metals that are easier to come by thanks to the mass amounts of igneous rock left behind from the active volcanoes. The Palace itself is built on a mountaintop, within the crater of what used to be Silkamolus' most active volcano. A heavy guard surrounds the city, as Silkamolus is of a more military nature.

In the heart of the city of Vorbanu is a hugely popular inn called the Ensorceled Alchemist. The Alchemist, as it's most commonly called, is run by a young fire elemental, Arathatu Kardela. The inn itself possesses a dark, sultry aura, and it is not uncommon for Ara to bring in the odd female entertainment for his guests. Numerous wall hangings adorn the inn, all depicting various scenes of dragons and other fire related beasts.

Closer to the Alchemist is a favoured tavern, the Swindler's Wineskin. Run by the curvaceous Labatha Avanth, the tavern plays host to all types of unsavory characters, from thieves and mercenaries to assassins and hirlings. The Swindler appears in good repair from the outside, but it is little more than a hovel- the locals do not seem to care however, for it provides the best ale in town.

The most notable brothel in all of Silkamolus is Harpy's Hall. Salalali Shae runs this establishment, and it is whispered (very quietly) that the proprietor herself is more beautiful than the Princess. The Harpy's Hall is quite possibly the most ornamented building in all of Vorbanu, short of the palace itself. Sala employs only the most beautiful fire elementals in all of Silkamolus, hand picked from birth. The elementals lineages all must be pure fire elemental, like her own. It is a priviledge in Silkamolus to be chosen by Sala to serve at the Harpy's Hall, and she and her girls frequent the palace quite often.

On an island near Silkamolus' easternmost boundaries is an active volcano, coined "Ignecia". The fire mages at Drahonkal attempted to stifle it's burning hot core, but unlike the volcano in Vorbanu, they were unsuccessful. Some say that Ignecia was a result of fire manipulation gone wrong, and thus not even the most powerful mages can counteract the magics surrounding it. Typically it is avoided at all costs, for it is prone to errupting spontaneously.

Situated on an island between the mainland and Ignecia is Yeris Outpost. Silkamolus, being of a more military nature, is in possession of quite a few military encampments, however, Yeris is by far one of the largest, second only to Voracia. Yeris resembles a small castle-like structure, and it is re-garrisoned frequently. The entire island is dominated by the elemental's presence, for they constantly patrol its outskirts, keeping a watchful eye on the coastline.

Voracia Barracks is an offfshore military station located on the island nearest to the main continent. It is home to the excess guard in Vorbanu, and is controlled entirely by General Derglathau Shentur, a former Royal Guard at Vorbanu. Dergla maintains tight control over the seas and all entry into the mainland. Communications are received directly from Yeris if anyone is spotted on the eastern frontier.

Nysris is a small town located on the tip of a jutting peninsula, to the southernmost end of the mainland. Ruled by Tuiaron and Elauatha Rircavau, the Duke and Duchess of Nysris, it is a favoured spot among guests, for it is relatively free of the military presence found elsewhere. Nysris is one of the few places on the entire mainland where plants are beginning to grow again naturally. More and more citizens are moving to Nysris as Vorbanu begins to progress into a pure military nation.

Drahonkal is an academy dedicated to the arcane arts that the people of Silkamolus practice. Four teachers currently reside at the academy, each possessing a certain arcane ability. Students are welcome, however, all pupils must be of pure fire elemental heritage to be schooled in the art of fire and all things related. Drahonkal is also home to the reputable Hatchery, the only birthplace of Leriso's 10 dragons.
