Ok, keep in mind, Politics is sticky....
The Prince:
The Prince is the supreme lord of any given city. He is the Prime Minister, the Pope, and a dictator all rolled into one. His word is law, and ultimately whatever law he passes is indoctrinated forever in the minds of his kindred or else they will meet an untimely accident. Princes are typically pretentious and highly educated. They are usually EXTREMELY old.
The Consul:
The Consul is usually made up, under the Prince's discretion, of anywhere from 1 to 100 kindred. The Consul are similar to the Parliament, they debate and discuss the various problems of the realm and bring their cases to the Prince. Typically the members of the Consul are very power hungry, and the only thing they want more is favor from the Prince. Altogether, a very haphazard parliament made up of snakes and liars....so....like a real-life parliament only made up of Vampires...you get the picture.
The Sheriff:
Ok, here is one serious bad-ass. The Sheriff is the Judge, Jury and Executioner of the Vampire society. He is the be all and end all when it comes to knowledge of the laws and he is charged to carry out adjudication of these laws. Typically the Sheriff is a hulk of a vampire who carries a large sword or axe just in case. The Sheriff usually says very little, but is always there somehow keeping an eye on the kindred society.
The Blade:
The Blade is like the ninja of Kindred society. His job is to kill whomever is the enemy of the Prince. Typically, political enemies. The Blade operates solely as a government hit-man or woman and makes each act look like a political assassination that points to the hand of the Prince. No one has seen a blade and lived.
The Wolf:
When the Prince needs someone dead, and doesn't want anyone to blame him for it, he calls the Wolf. The Wolf is a blood-thirsty kindred who usually kills kindred in the most brutal and violent way possible. This is to leave all of the blame as far away from the Prince as possible.
