Leriso- Lur-ih-soh
This section of the board focuses on the planet Leriso, an old world that is both highly populated and largely explored, with the exception of No Man's Land. Below is a short geographical description of the land, and the various nations inhabiting Leriso.
Nivern- Nih-vern
Largely dominated by mountainous regions or mountain chains, Nivern accounts for the second largest territory. Very little islands dot the oceans surrounding this large land mass, however they are not uncommon further south or west. The land itself is comprised of mostly rocky terrain, typical of mountainous areas, with the odd bit of countryside. Closer to the ocean, dense vegetation can be found. Snow usually caps the mountaintops, where the air is thinner- this poses no problems to air elementals, but makes breathing for humans difficult at best.
Some believe the mountains to be an extension of the Belanoche- indeed, some are, such as the land surrounding Castle Kyvern. However, most are rocky outcroppings or smaller, unnamed mountain chains.
Comeltum- Caw-mell-tum
Situated closer to the heart of the nations, Comeltum boasts a wide variety of geographical oddities. Everything from marshes to forests to arid deserts dot the countryside, although wooded areas are most common. As the territory and home of the High King, Comeltum boasts the largest borders of all the nations, extending far off into the westernmost part of the ocean.
The Belanoche flanks its easternmost side, although very little mountain actually extends into the borders of Comeltum.
Kuvaqite- Koo-vah-kite
Located in the northernmost part of Leriso, Kuvaqite is comprised mostly of grottos, harbour towns, ice fields, bays and small islands/land masses. Very little of the area is dominated by actual land- most of the area is inhabited by water, thus making it ideal conditions for the water elementals.
No mountainous regions extend this far north, and Kuvaqite has little interactions with the residents in the Belanoche, or "No Man's Land".
Silkamolus- Silk-a-mole-us
Located in the southernmost area of Leriso, Silkamolus is a land of ash and fire- very little vegetation exists in any of the nation, with the exception of a few cities, namely the capital itself and Nysris. The air is stale with a hint of sulfur- difficult breathing conditions for the average human, but it poses no difficulty for the fire elementals.
Comprised mostly of islands, the nation houses several active volcanoes. Although there are also no mountainous regions related to the Belanoche, there are a few "mountains"- Ignecia for example, Silkamolus' active volcano.
Caracalon- Care-ah-cal-on
Once a rich, fertile nation, Caracalon is now being laid to ruin by its self styled king. The nation itself boasts (or did boast) fertile lands, similar to those of Comeltum. However, new industrialization has led to decreased foliage and quite a bit of upturned earth due to development.
No Man's Land or the Belanoche- Bell-an-ock
The Belanoche is a slim section of land, totally excluded from and of the nation's borders due to its hostile environment. It's a perilous place, full of sharp rocky crags and high mountaintops. The mountain chain itself is called the Belanoche, however, the whole land has been coined "No Man's Land" for obvious reasons.
The air in No Man's Land is typical of any mountainous region- thin, hard to breath, yet clean. Very little inhabitants are found in the Belanoche, however, those that are there are of the oddest sort. Very few people are willing to claim the land as their own due to its nature and nigh indefensible frontier.
