To apply for any of the characters below, please post the names of the ones you would like and send me a pm with a short RP example (those that I've RPd with before do not have to send me a sample). If you have any ideas for slight modifications to the characters, please let me know. I'm open to suggestions for most of them. Also, keep in mind that elementals and Elves do not age the same way as humans do. Elves and elementals are immortal in the fact that they do not die if no hardship visits them- however, they can be slain, or die of grief, etc. Elves reach their full height and hit puberty at 50 years, and have reached their full maturity at 100 years of age. After that, all there really is left to gain is wisdom and experience, sort to speak. Regardless of how many years old an elf is, it still looks relatively unchanged after 100 years. The same applies for elementals. For the purpose of confusing people less, we'll keep the aging similar to that of elves.

Appearance: Tall and Bulky. Stands about 6'5'' to 6'6''. Long, black hair with strands of grey hair grouped together on top of his crown. His eyes are dark brown and piercing with thin-trimmed eye brows. He has a dark brown mustache and beard that falls down to the bottom of his neck. He has a barrel chest and large arms, and his hands are rough and large from the constant sword training of his youth.
Personality: Power hungry yet easily seduced by his wife. He is quick-witted and charming, and finds his strength mainly in his voice and not his body. He has an ego, but is not egotistical. He knows he is the King, and he doesn't flaunt it. Prefers dialogue before sword and sword before politics. Often finds his way in every crevasse of his kingdom from the poorhouses to the sleeperhouses.
History: Vulcanus was born into an uncaring home. His parents were quiet and slow-witted, and painfully dull. This seperated himself from his parents and was determined to make his upbringing come to fruition by his own hand. He spent the majority of his youth in solitude, studying away in the libraries of his kingdom. Wishing to attain every piece of knowledge that could possibly be found. By the age of 100 he had managed to read every tome in the library and every religious text in the high temples. It was then he realized it was time to commit to his social education. His social life began awkwardly. He had spent all of his time reading and studying elemental interaction that he had not taken the time to attain any application. He was treated as an outcast amongst his peers, rarely speaking with them. Instead, he spent his time watching them. He learned the nuances of day to day life as time moved on, and slowly he became the pinnacle of royal society. Spending his time wining and dining amongst the upper crust. He met his sword-master Lyion Marliander at 150 and quickly became the youngest master of the martial arts. At 250 he met his first wife Avulira, a beautiful and wise woman, whom he married shortly after. Their marriage was loving and blissful until one day Avulira became ill and passed. Shortly after he met, or one would say was found by, Iskassa. Their marriage from that point became one of greed and manipulation. Although Vulcanus is strong-willed he could not see to ending his marriage with Iskassa. Controversy arose at the heir-ship of his daughter Siva. Popular thought dictates that the heir to the throne must be male and only male. However, Siva is strong, and Vulcanus being a man who values personal, and not just martial, strength as absolute; declared Siva as his successor. *Note* Vulcanus was gifted by the mages at Drahonkal with a large crimson dragon on the day of his coronation, named Bel'tor. The dragon has a psychic connection with Vulcanus, but speaks to no one else unless necessary. He gifted his children in turn with young dragons on the day of their birth. History: Siva is the pride of her family, the most revered of all the Arundur children. Even as a child, she was often mischievous, and displayed many characteristics of her race including their incredibly persuasive capabilities. Tutored at a young age by her mother, one of the most respected fire elemental women, she developed incredible amounts of charisma and charm. Her father taught her the uses of various weaponry, including but not limited to the crossbow, short sword, long sword, dagger, and mace. She was also educated by the most respected fire elemental scholars in the ways of fire magic. She quickly became the envy of her siblings, as she was adept at everything that they were not. Eventually her father threw away custom and declared Siva his Heir. After learning of the death of the High Queen, Siva's greatest ambition became to charm her way into the bed and the heart of the greatest man in the world. *Note* Gifted with an elegant, female golden dragon on the day of her birth- you choose the name. The dragon is as old as Siva is.

She was lovely even with the disfigurment, her soft, full mouth barely spared from being split by this mark that crossed from her ear, across her nose, to the corner of her gently rounded jawline. With it she was beautiful... Without it she would have been heart stopping. Her ears hold the faintest hint of pointed tips; other than that and her ethereal beauty she could be a typical human, the deep tone of her skin mostly hiding the freckles that spattered her high cheek bones. She was different, to say the least, though one had to look closely to see as much.

History: She spends most of her time hiding from the commotion of the castle, hiding from her sister in particular. She's spent almost her entire life in sweet solitude, staring into the flames in search of something, some form of strength. She feels as if something is wrong with her, that something within has broken and need repair.. And has spent many a starfilled night wishing for he who would protect her frail self even while she hunts for the reasons behind her breaking. *Note*: On the day of Lissa's birth, she was given a small, emerald colored female dragon (named Shifra).

Appearance: very severe features yet young looking in face and body, the only sign of any aging being the silver streaks he had gained in his hair upon reaching maturity at 100 years. Jet black wings, with the slight iridescence of a raven's feathers. Stormy grey eyes, and shoulder length ebony hair, with natural ringlets, usually pulled back at the nape of the neck. Muscular build from years of soldering. Inherited both the wings/flight ability and the magical capabilities of his race. One of the most revered magicians of his kind, in relation to air/weather magic.
Personality: Ruthless, power hungry, places social rank/status above family, love, etc, cold, calculating, intelligent, powerful.
History: Sent his daughter's lover, Komus, away in an attempt to halt their romance. Arranged a betrothal between Zephyra and Borelas, a man who is akin to himself both by way of mannerisms and ambitions, shortly before Komus' return. He later canceled that betrothal when he sent his headstrong daughter, Zephyra, away to charm the High King, Silvanos, who was recently widowed. Zephyra refused to leave, stating that she was promised to another (Komus), and shortly thereafter rebelled by magical means. As a result, she was punished by Borelas, who had been instructed by Levanteran to do "whatever he wished with her". Upset by his lost conquest, Borelas proceeded to torture, by means of magic, and rape Zephyra. It is speculated that Levanteran lost all sense of morality after the death of his wife.

Appearance: Long ebony hair, pin straight, hanging down to her waist. Inherited one of her mother's characteristics- eyes that continually change color with her mood. Proud features, high cheekbones, heart shaped mouth. Petite but lithe. Did not inherit the ability to fly, but did inherit both her father and her mother's talent with air/weather magic. She rivals that of even her Magilith instructors, her magic in that area second only to her father and Borelas. Carries a short sword given to her by her mother, named Nilrhylem (for more details on what the sword resembles, PM me).
Personality: courageous, proud, short tempered, passionate, devoted, caring, loyal
History: Zephyra fell in love with Komus when he was first introduced to her by her brother, Tyri. Later on, when Zephyra was about 100 years old, she and Komus formed a secret betrothal, unbeknownst to her father. Levanteran was unnerved by the familiarity between Komus and Zephyra, and thus he sent Komus away to scour the Belanoch, a mountainous region coined as "No Man's Land". Shortly thereafter a formal engagement between herself and Borelas was announced, to Zephyra's dismay. Borelas was cruel, and she hated the idea of being bound to him for the remainder of her life. After Komus' return and the recent announcement of the High Queen's death, Zephyra was told that her engagement with Borelas was no longer, and she was instructed to attend to the High King at court, in an attempt to gain an alliance with the great house. During this turn of events, it was discovered that she had been secretly betrothed to Komus, and as punishment, Komus was to be publicly beaten, and Zephyra punished as well. After rescuing her lover from near death, and in the process killing off her father's main executioner and enforcer of the law, Zephyra's punishment became more severe and she was left to Borelas' devices, where she was thereby magically tortured and raped. She still carries the emotional scars, although the physical ones have healed, and is now submissively following her father's orders, although she has resolutely promised herself that she will do everything in her power to make the High King dislike her. Komus has also been sent as her bodyguard, both in an attempt to publicly humiliate him and bring on further emotional pain.

Appearance: Pale cornflower blue eyes, doe-like features, soft expressions, pale skinned with a flush of rose to it, a light dusting of freckles across the bridge of her nose, long pale gold wavy hair, very slender and petite. Ivory wings with a small hint of pale blue at the tips. No magic abilities to speak of, but does have the ability to fly.
Personality: Charming, soft spoken, timid, dutiful, caring, scattered, easily flustered, innocent
History: Addae was appointed as Zephyra's Lady in Waiting at birth, and has been Zephyra's companion ever since. They share no bond of friendship to speak of, but Addae has always been there to be an ear for Zephyra if needed, although the Princess confides in no one. She attends to the basic needs of the Princess, such as dressing her, feeding her and attending to any errands that she might have. She shares the Princess' chambers and has her own cot in a small anteroom. Her mother and father were both Royal Stewards to Levanteran and Assirra, and thus she became the ideal fit as the Princess' Lady in Waiting, being born around the same approximate time as the Princess.

Personality: Roguish, charming, devoted, fierce warrior, loyal, easy going, passionate, curious
History: Komus, as a child, had a natural aptitude for warfare and strategy. He quickly rose through the ranks to become Captain of the Royal Guard at a relatively young age. He went through academy training as a child to study the arts of warfare, although his parents could barely afford it. After he was noticed by the Royal family, he quickly became a fixture in the Palace. Once he was introduced to Zephyra by his close companion, Tyri, they instantly became close, and shortly thereafter formed a betrothal. He spent a good many years in virtual exile, after Zephyra's father began to suspect that there was more than friendship between them. After his return, he was punished by way of public beating as a result of Levanteran discovering his betrothal to Zephyra. Saved from the brink of death by Zephyra, he was forced as further punishment, to accompany her to Comeltum where her ultimate goal was to attend to the High King and possibly form a marriage contract.

Appearance: Steel grey wings with a somewhat metallic looking hue to them, clear grey-blue eyes, shoulder length raven black hair inherited from his father with natural ringlets, slender build, refined aristocratic features. Has the ability to fly, and some magical abilities, but nothing in comparison to his sister.
Personality: comical, mischievous, charming, smooth talking, flirtatious, easy going, sense of humor, cunning, sarcastic, endlessly devoted and loyal to his sister. More of a lover than a fighter.
History: Tyri-Anu (Tyri for short) grew up with a refined sense of taste, appreciating the arts and the beauty of women more than the battlefield. Aristocratic in nature, he was always a sore spot in his father's side. In an attempt to harden him and groom him for command, he was sent to foster at Castle Kyvern, where he later met and developed deep feelings for the Duchess of Castle Kyvern, Uruviel Ilorehaac. She is and still was his longest "relationship" to speak of, although he is loathe to admit that he might possibly love her, and that she was anything more than a convenient tryst. After reaching his 100th year, he became a popular male figure, sought after by many women because of his natural charm. He is entirely devoted to his sister and her wellbeing, with one of his greatest fears being that he'll let her down in some way, shape or form. After the death of his mother, his younger sister had helped raise him in some ways, and the two share everything with one another.

Appearance: Customarily seen clothed all in silver, the colour of the Magilith and the great Dome, smug, fair featured hiding a cruel personality, shock of dark chestnut hair, trim body, unnaturally dark eyes, wingless, but one of the most powerful magicians in all of Nivern, equal to that of the King, Levanteran.
Personality: cruel, power hungry, smug, cold, sadistic, aggressive, dominant, intimidating, powerful, ambitious
History: Borelas possessed a natural aptitude with magic at a young age. His talent was discovered by the former leader of the Magilith, after the mysterious death of his parents at a young age. Orphaned after his parent's death, the Magilith took him in and trained him to control his abilities. Suspiciously, the leader of the Magilith was also found dead shortly after Borelas reached his 100th year, and Borelas was named leader of this prestigious magical group shortly thereafter. Naturally, his ambition caused him to draw a sharp focus on the Princess. Hastily, he petitioned her father for, at the very least, a betrothal. Levanteran took an instant liking to the newly risen leader of the Magilith, and agreed to the union. When the betrothal was announced, Borelas found himself continually angered by his betrothed, who made every attempt to spurn him and disregard his advances. When the betrothal was put aside and he was told to punish Zephyra, many years of hidden anger and a deep overwhelming sense of desire led to the rape and slow torture of the Princess.

Appearance: Thick build, sharp penetrating eyes (multicoloured- one pale green, the other a startling amber), short cropped hair of a deep ruddy red color, easy smile, wolfish features. Inherited the longevity of the elementals, however, he always looks a bit more worn in comparison. Possesses minor magical talent, enough for defense purposes. Broad, red-brown wings with golden flecks.
Personality: Intelligent, well spoken, ruthless trader, straight forward, good natured, quick witted, quick to anger, sharp eye for detail
History: Kazsix is quite possibly one of the most universally respected individuals in all of Leriso. As a national trader, Kazsix is also one of the wealthiest individuals in all of Leriso. Owning villas in every nation from Silkamolus to Comeltum, with the exception of Caracalon, Kazsix has single handedly opened up commerce between every nation of Leriso. Not much is known about his past, and even less about his odd mixed heritage, but upon maturity, he took to trading like a fish to water, establishing trade routes throughout the world. Respected by the common folk and the aristocrats alike, Kaz is welcome just about anywhere. Many have speculated on the fact that he has yet to take a wife, however there is no doubt that Kazsix has had his fair share of lovers, as few women can resist being attracted to the ruggedly handsome (and extensively wealthy) man. A select few turn up their noses at him because of his mixed blood, and talk of him as being less of a man, however, very few will criticize his work as he has had a world of accomplishments.

History: You choose- Very little is known about Círdan's childhood or how he came into power. However, a lot is known about his current circumstances. Círdan took Uruviel to wife at a very young age. The young woman was hopelessly enamored with the newly appointed Duke, however, the Duke was less than impressed with his new bride, for she was as chaste as she was beautiful. History: Brought up in a wealthy family, Uruviel was well versed and well taught before marrying into her Duchy. Her parents arranged the marriage between her and the newly appointed Duke of Castle Kyvern. Full of hope, she married into her new life naively expecting to be completely happy. And it was blissful for awhile- the Duke seemed just as happy about his beautiful wife as she was about her husband. She tried exceedingly hard to make her husband happy, as any good wife should (or so she thought). After spending years trying for children, the Duke assumed she was barren and discarded her. Bereft, Uruviel lost her sense of purpose and became more and more downtrodded when she began to notice her husband's straying gaze. She reached her low when personal intelligence informed her that her husband was housing a mistress- a beautiful fire elemental- in Ardasia, that he saw quite frequently. She pleaded with him shortly thereafter to foster someone at Kyvern, hoping that perhaps if they fostered a younger child together they would regain the bond they once had. Shortly thereafter, her husband arranged to foster Tyri-Anu, the Crown Prince of Nivern. She half expected to see a child upon his arrival, not realizing that the prince was as old as he was. Instead, a man arrived, and devastated half her household with his charm and nature. She tried to remain aloof, but realized quickly that although he had initially been the womanizer of the household, he now was entirely interested in her and her alone. So began their secret affair, right under the nose of her husband. Upon Tyri's return to Ardasia, Uruviel has slipped even deeper into depression, unbeknownst to Tyri.

History: His history, at this point, does not extend far beyond his family. Most all of his life thusfar has been spent in his father's shadow and under the eye of his siblings, learning what must be learned for the day when he is to take the reigns, so to speak. He has learned a great deal about the man he calls his father this way and has found he does not agree with all of his actions.

Appearance: Though tall and pale for his race Pann still has an impressive amount of lean muscle on his slender frame. He has dark eyes, raven black hair and nimble hands. His big feet, rounded chin and a broad smile often lead to the impression of a tender heart. He wears a loose, creamy tunic with snug britches, the billowing sleeves often dropping back up his arm to reveal his lean muscles whenever he reaches for a new scroll. His cheeks are narrow, with sculpted cheek bones, and his nose is slightly crooked, if well built.
Personality: Quiet, strong, fierce when riled, usually calm, studious, athletic, daring
History: Pann enjoys his job of being the Royal Scribe, keeping track of all the kingdom’s records and knowledge. He loves to learn and explore, always up for a new adventure – either figuratively, with the history recorded, or literally as he wanders the inns and parties in his free time. He has taken most of his time away from the castle and used it to travel, though he can never retain any tan gained from his wanderings for very long. He saw many places lore already, been in his fair share of bar fights, and as of late prefers to spend most of his time either working or making use of the castle’s archery supplies. He’s an adept hunter, though his talent is nothing to boast about, and hunts with the bow and arrow once a month for his personal supply of meat and to sell the furs for extra spending money. At sixty he is still young, but he has yet to have more than the random harlot in his bed. He thoroughly enjoys humming as he works, quieting only to listen to any new scribes or declarations that need to be noted.

Pann took a deep breath as the bow arched in his hand, the string vibrating with tension. The arrow was guided next to his eye as his muscles rippled, leveling his arm and eyeing his target. It was no archery target this time, but a true target, that of a great and beautiful bird. The feathers were a brilliant, gleaming white tipped in gold and would fetch a lovely price in town, the neck long and the legs strong. It had been a while since he enjoyed fowl and he was looking forward to his kill.
He released his breath with the arrow, his tunic sticking to his lean frame as he lowered his bow and reached back with his other hand, ready to grab for a replacement. The slight arch accentuated his chest and abs, his face shining in the filtered sunlight as his arrow whistled passed dozens of trees to strike the great bird in the back. There was a resounding squawk and the beast fell into the water where it had been fishing, causing its companions to take flight with panicked wings.
Pann stretched as he stood from his kneeling position, wiping sweat off his face and quickly trotting towards his kill. He had been aiming for the creature’s heart, but at least the thing was felled. Tracking the flock through miles of dense woodland had taken some toll on him, leaving him eager to be done with the journey and back home. Within minutes he had cleaned the bird, stowing the hide in a cloth which he placed on a light leather pack that was slung over his back next to his bow and quiver. The meat and bones he wrapped and carried by hand. It was a large bird, larger than many dogs that could be found, but he managed to carry the entire load. For larger kills he was often forced to leave some meat behind for scavengers; taking more than he could carry was taking too much, more than he needed, and the meat would spoil before it was all eaten.
His dark leather shoes were soaking by the time he reached the trees again, jostling the packs across his back as he headed back to the castle. His spine was straight in spite of his load, his slender frame still strong enough to carry the extra weight without compensation. Stepping lightly through the trees, Pann kept his eyes peeled for creatures that would be bold enough as to attempt to steal his personal kill, carefully regulating his breathing. A small dagger tucked just under his britches brushed against his left hip with every step and he shifted the meat in his arms, freeing his right hand a little. Just in case. He would have to keep a close eye on his reflexes to avoid both fang and branch alike, as well as ensure he was prepared for another wandering journey. Spring found him restless more often than not; it would soon be time to kill in new lands.
That was neither here nor there, at the moment. He grunted as he leaped over a fallen log, barely breaking stride and watching for the familiar thinning of the trees. A bath, double check the day’s scrolls out of pure habit, and then the market, once he got to town. It was a crisp day, with a warm sun – people would be willing to indulge a little. And the sun was coming through the moss coated trees a bit more as he debated a fair price to himself; he would get there soon.

I think that's about right, if I understood everything. I'll check in tomorrow to see if I pass for this guy.
