Sam watched from the shadows as Bly launched herself into a tattooed man's throat, ripping it out and spraying blood all over the field. The scent of fresh blood filled the air, the other tattooed men became even more furious at the wolf that had just killed their leader. Two of the men jumped forth with reckless abandon and no fear of the gnashing teeth and claws. The two men managed to get several good punches and kicks into the wolf. Bly kept gnashing and biting at the men, trying to get a chunk out of one of their legs. The other two stood back watching as the fight continued. Sam saw her chance.
Sam moved with inhuman speed to the two men standing back, she saw the flash of a knife as one of the men moved forward towards the wolf who was fighting for her life. Sam grabbed the one man that was now on his own and bit deeply into his neck drawing deeply of his blood and ripping his windpipe out. The man dropped to the ground with barely a gurgle.
Bly was starting to lose the fight with the two men, they were careful to stay out of range of her teeth and claws. The third man walked forward and stabbed the knife directly into Bly's right shoulder blade. Bly let out a whimper as she fell to the ground unable to put weight on her right side. The three men stood over the whimpering body of the wolf. Sam moved forward puling the knife out of the wolf's shoulder and shoved it into it's owner's chest. He collapsed with astonishment on his face. Sam grabbed another of the men and snapped his neck. The final man's eyes opened wide in sheer terror. Sam grabbed the man and looked deeply into his eyes.
"Why are you after this wolf? Why did you kill the other wolf?" Sam commanded with teeth bared.
The man shivered with fear, "I don't know, we were just following orders, we just did what the suits told us. I swear I don't know anything."
"Then you are no good to me." Sam said with contempt. She took the man's coat off of him then snapped his neck crumpling him to the ground.
Sam turned to the young werewolf now changed back to a human holding her right shoulder. Sam wrapped the coat around the woman. Sam pulled out her cellphone spoke hurriedly in a language Bly couldn't understand. "Alright little pup, there is going to be some people coming down here to clean this up before day break, you can be here and they will take care of your shoulder, but you will also not be allowed to leave their custody until we get to the bottom of why they wanted you dead. Or you can run along and take care of your shoulder yourself and I'll make sure you weren't here tonight."
Sam handed the wolf's cellphone back to her. "You dropped this several hours ago. My number has been programmed into it, I encourage you to give me a call after nightfall tonight."

She took her cell phone from Sam's outstretched hand. She leaned in, gave Sam a peck on the cheek, and then licked the pool of blood that had been left there. "Thanks for the help!"
She saunters off heading towards her home. As she neared the building she did several sniffs of the air making sure she had no unwanted surprises. 'Well's that just what I needed.' She mutters to herself. And a little more audibly "Hello, Papa." And with that they headed to her room. All she wanted was to fix her arm up and have a warm bath. But instead she was stuck having a conversation she was in no mood to have. "I'm sorry about Blaine, Papa."She says weakly. He coolly responds "There is nothing we can do about your brother, here let me stitch you up." She grabs her sewing needle and thread and hands it to her father. She grabs some booze from the desk and takes a long chug of it and then dabs some on her wound. She sat down beside her father and allows him to stitch her up. They sit there in silence and when he was finishes he speaks again. "We may not be able to bring Blaine back but we will have our revenge. The twins will see whoever is responsible gets what they deserve. But you can't stay here it's not safe. It's clear by those bruises that someone is after you. You are to come home with me." And for the first time in her life she found the word that almost any 3 year old child learns to use but she never did. "NO Papa, I will not go with you. I am on the trail of the murderer let me prove myself to you. And beside if you let the twins kill him/her we won't have any answers. Don't you want to know why Papa?" He hesitated for a moment and sighs to himself. "You have one week, if you don't find the killer by then. I am sending the twins in. And if there is any sign your in danger your to come home." And with those words he left.
For the first time that night she was alone. She drew herself a warm bath and climbed into it. She let a large sigh of relief. She made sure not to submerge her wound into the water. And with that she started to relax and her thoughts drifted to the vampire. Should she call her? She might be of some help to her. And as much as she wanted to do this alone she knew that it wouldn't be possible. After setting out a plan. She drained the water out of the bathtub. And took a cold shower. After awhile she headed to bed. She was asleep before her head even hit the pillow. The sun was brightly shinning when she awoke many hours later.
She reached into the coat pocket that Sam gave her and found Blaine's phone. She blushed. "I either have a stalker or a guardian angel." And searched through the directory until she found the person listed under the name M. She pressed the talk button and listened to the ringing. After the 3rd ring someone picked up. "Hey, Baby I missed you. I thought you were stopping by after you saw your sister last night." Bly sighed. "Hey Mackenzie, it's Bly I wish I was speaking to you under better circumstances but I really need to talk to you. Blaine's dead." There was a long pause. "Oh shit, Bly, I'm really sorry about your brother. Can we meet I have something I should show you." Bly was wondering if this could be a trap. Maybe it was her brother's work that got him killed. She knew then she needed to call the vampire. "Tell you what Mackenzie I can meet you for coffee at lets say oh 10. At the coffee shop on Bay." And with the mutual agreement they ended the phone conversation.
She reached into the vampire's coat pocket and grabbed her cellphone. This was the thing that she was least looking forward to hearing. She typed in her voice mail password. And listened to the first few messages and then Blaine's gargled voice could be heard. "Bly, I don't have enough time to tell you what I need to tell you. But don't trust anyone. I'm sure you will figure it out on your own. I love you and goodbye." Tears started streaming down her face. And she whispered I love you to Blaine. At around 8 she made the call to the vampire. " Hey, this is Bly. Before I ask you to come to the coffee shop on Bay. I want to know why you are helping me?

Sam stared dumbly as the wolf kissed her cheek and licked the blood from the spot. How Vampireish of her to lick the blood off her cheek. She watched as the young woman walked off into the night. Sam shook her head and picked up the body of one of the dead men ripped his neck open, Sam squeezed the body and blood started pouring slowly out onto the ground. The scent of the dead man's blood filled the air, "that should cover up her smell," she mumbled to herself as she dropped the crumpled body.
She stood again musing over this wolf who had crossed her path, when a rather large pickup truck rolled up. Several figures jumped out of the truck and started clearing the bodies and filling the back of the pickup. One of the figures stepped off to the side to greet Sam. "So how did this happen?"
Sam glared up at the tall imposing man, "I'm working on that, I'll let you know if and when i get to the bottom of it."
The man matched her glare with more ferocity, but a glint of weakness hid behind his glare. "You're supposed to be finding out about this so called murderer om the loose, don't forget that or something bad might happen to you."
Sam lowered her voice to a whisper, "Be careful who you threaten, or your entrails will be spread so far and wide that not even your maker will be able to find them all." With these words the man's face went whiter than even than it had been, he whistled and all the figures got back into the truck. As the truck sped off Sam started to head in the opposite direction. She headed back to her condo to spend the day.
Sam nodded to the guard of the building as she stepped into the foyer. Heading straight to the elevator she entered her security code into the panel and rode the elevator to the top floor. The elevator door opened into a suite completely sealed off from sun. She could feel the sun rising and exhaustion flooded through her, Heading into the bedroom she collapsed onto the bed and slept.
Just before nightfall she woke with a start. "Damn it, waking before sunset now I'll be groggy all night." She got up and headed into the bathroom and checked herself in the mirror. Her hair was matted in places with blood and several spots of dried blood were on her clothes. She undressed and tossed the clothes off to the side, she heard the clunk of the gun hit the floor. "Oops, forgot about that, maybe I'll take it with me tonight, silver bullets are handy to have around especially with a wolf."
She hopped into the shower and back out a few mins later and walked back to the bedroom and got dressed into a pair of well fitted jeans and black t-shirt. She grabbed a leather jacket and threw it on, tied her hair back loosely grabbed the gun and headed back to the elevator.
She headed out into the street giving another nod to the guard in the foyer. She headed down the street and walked into a small club with a Vampire bouncer, she winked at him as she entered. The club was quiet and the lights were low, several humans and vampires milled about. She knew all these humans owed a vampire something and were paying that debt by being here. She spotted a young woman and pulled her off to one of the tables off to the side. The young woman tilted her neck up and allowed Sam to bite and drink deeply from her. When she was finished she gave her a deep kiss, "Thanks Darling, maybe next time you won't borrow money from a random person on the street again." Sam got up and left the club.
As she left her phone rang, she answered and heard the werewolf on the other end, "Hey, this is Bly. Before I ask you to come to the coffee shop on Bay. I want to know why you are helping me?"
Sam smiled to herself, "Coffee shop on Bay, be there in fifteen minutes." With that she hung up the phone and headed to the coffee shop.

"Oh Shit" Bly exclaimed. "We'll I guess I should go and meet a vampire". She grabbed her coat and purse and ran out the door. Hopefully, I can make this conversation quick with the vampire, I don't want her and Mackenzie meeting. I want to keep Mackenzie to myself for now. Bly thought to herself. She arrived at the Coffee Shop with minutes to spare. She walked into the shop nodded at the waitress and headed to the booth in the far corner.
The waitress sauntered over to her and asked Bly if she wanted the usual. Bly briefly looked over the menu and proclaimed yes the usual plus an extra stack of pancakes. The waitress took the menu and walked off. A minute later she returned with a hot cup of coffee. Bly smiled and said thanks.
A few moments later the vampire walked in and sat down at the table. Bly smiled weakly at her "my family wants to exact there revenge". I don't care about revenge at the moment I just want to know why him. He is not connected to any of the other victims, so I am wondering if it's someone else.
